The Slayer is a 4 batten specialist wave riding sail to increase your limits
The Slayer is a 4 batten specialist wave riding sail.
With 4 battens, there is no batten running through the window and there is still 3 battens supporting the leach and one supporting the foot to stop flutter. With the thinner batten tips, the sails still fills as easily as a 3 batten sail. Since battens stop creasing and spread the load, a 4 batten sail suffers less from fatigue than a 3 batten sail along with offering a better top end.
The Slayer HAS A DACRON LUFF PANEL FOR A MORE FLEXIBLE SHAPE that feels smoother in moves AND A SMALL PVC WINDOW to maintain visability longer than MONOFILM OR X-PLY.
THE WINDOW IS PLACED IN THE NEUTRAL AREA WHERE THE HARNESS LINES ARE MOUNTED WITH ALL THE FORCES GUIDED AROUND IT DOES NOT SUFFER FROM STRETCHING. VISIBILITY OF THE WAVE IS SIMPLY ESSENTIAL FOR WAVE RIDING. THE FOOT of the Slayer IS CUT HIGHer FOR A BETTER CLEARANCE.
In summary the Slayer is born to ride waves with power when required but the ability to remain neutral allowing the rider to concentrate on the wave and not the sail and as you would expect the sail is built to allow you to push your personal limits sand not that of the sail.
THE SLAYER IS BEST PAIRED WITH OUR WAVE OR HAKA WAVEBOARDS.
